We aim to nurture all-round achievement and believe that developing inter-personal skills such as presenting, debating, active listening, reflecting and decision making are invaluable ways of accomplishing this goal.
We are delighted to welcome you to Epic Learning.
Learning and achievement are paramount in improving our students’ life chances. Encouraging our students to be good citizens is also central to our work as we aim to provide them with a consistent moral code. We know that in order to do their best at school, young people need to feel happy and safe.
We have a strong pastoral ethos and a holistic, individualised approach to our students. Every learner is unique and our teachers endeavour to offer classes that stretch high achieving students and engage those who need additional support.
At Epic Learning, we are looking to the future with confidence. We believe that no matter the length of provision or past educational experiences, our students will be successful. Young people leave us more confident, self-assured and qualified to forge a positive path into employment, apprenticeships or further education. We had a 91% positive progression rate for our 2017 leavers.

Epic Learning, based in North Kensington, is a small alternative education provision with independent school status for KS4 and KS5 pupils sitting GCSEs and/or Functional Skills.
Every young person is allocated a key worker to support young people through difficult times. We have created a safe environment where they can be challenged on some of the negative or distracting behaviours that may have been a problem in their past.
Our practice is based on the premise that:
- Each student has the right to learn
- Each teacher/youth worker has the right to teach/facilitate without interruption
- Every parent has the right to information about their child’s behaviour and to work in partnership with the school to encourage high standards
- Each participant in this partnership needs to be aware of these standards
- Every student is equal and should be treated as such at all times by all
